We are Hiring a Cognitive Stimulation Therapy (CST) Co-Facilitator
Memory Matters CIC is looking for a compassionate, enthusiastic and reliable Cognitive Stimulation Therapy (CST) Co-Facilitator to join our team in Cornwall.
This is an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of people living with mild to moderate dementia by supporting the delivery of structured Cognitive Stimulation Therapy (CST) maintenance groups across Cornwall.
Working alongside experienced CST Facilitators, you will help create safe, engaging and person-centred group sessions that enable people with dementia to maintain cognitive function, confidence, wellbeing and social connection.
Location: Community venues across Cornwall Integrated Neighbourhood Teams (INT)
Hours: 14 hours per week (part-time)
Salary: £15.00 per hour (£10,920 per annum pro rata)
Benefits: Mileage reimbursement, comprehensive training, ongoing supervision, and a
structured development pathway and Pension scheme (after probation).
What You’ll Be Doing
As a CST Co-Facilitator, you will:
● Support the delivery of Cognitive Stimulation Therapy maintenance groups for people living with dementia.
● Welcome and support participants and their carers throughout sessions.
● Encourage engagement, inclusion and social interaction during structured cognitive activities.
● Assist with preparing venues, setting up resources and ensuring sessions run smoothly.
● Observe and report any changes in participants; wellbeing, cognition or behaviour.
● Support safeguarding and anticipatory care by escalating concerns appropriately.
● Assist with attendance records, referrals, outcome monitoring and basic administration.
● Work flexibly across community venues throughout Cornwall.
● Step into facilitation duties when required and develop towards leading CST sessions.

● A strong communicator with excellent interpersonal skills.
● Comfortable observing and reporting changes in wellbeing.
● Flexible and willing to travel across Cornwall, including providing cover for annual leave
and sickness.
Essential Requirements
● Experience working with older adults or people living with dementia in community settings.
● Good communication and teamwork skills.
● Awareness of safeguarding principles.
● Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
● Full clean UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle.
Desirable
● Experience within health, social care, the voluntary/community sector or community support services.
● Experience supporting therapeutic groups or structured activities.
● Knowledge of dementia care principles.
● Experience with basic administration and record keeping.
