Are you ready for a new year's challenge? Do It for Dementia and turn your New Year's resolutions into a force for good!
Our new charity challenge, ‘Do It for Dementia’, is a fantastic and fun way to kick off the new year. Simply choose a challenge starting with the letter 'D' and get sponsored along the way.
Here are some fun "D" activities to inspire you:
Dine In for Dementia: Host a dinner party and ask your guests to donate what they would have spent on a meal out.
Dance-a-thon: Great for individuals or groups! Dance for a set amount of time and get sponsors for every hour you keep moving.
Dementia-Friendly Disco: Host a themed disco event for all ages. You could even play music from specific decades to engage older guests.
Daredevil Day: For the brave fundraisers, this could involve a daring activity like an abseil or a wing walk.
Dog Walking Challenge: Organise a doggy walk with your friends and family and collect an entry fee.
Donut Decorating: A fun bake-off style event where people pay to decorate (and eat!) delicious donuts. You could even host a competition for the best-decorated donut.
DIY Day: Donate your DIY or craftsmanship skills and give the money you charge to Memory Matters.
Duck Race: A classic and fun fundraiser. You sell numbered rubber ducks and race them down a local stream or river. The owner of the winning duck gets a special prize.
Dress Down Day: A simple workplace or school fundraiser where people pay a small fee to swap their uniform or formal business attire for more casual clothes for the day.
The "Do It for Dementia" fundraiser is a great way to bring people together and have some fun. You choose the activity that suits you—it's so simple, anyone can get involved and do it for dementia. It’s a great way to start the year, raise awareness, and bring in essential funds for our charity, all at the same time.
